Persephone Theatre has launched a new program that gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to enjoy a show at the theatre WITHOUT having to worry about who is going to watch the kids!

For each show of the mainstage season a PLAYdate option has been added to a Saturday matinee.  This means that with the purchase of a show ticket, parents and caregivers can register their children, ages 4 and up, for a fun afternoon of free activities with Persephone’s Theatre School. Games, music and crafts inspired by the mainstage show, another event at the theatre, or seasonal activities will keep the kids entertained.

Theatre school staff are theatre professionals who love working with kids. Parents and caregivers can relax knowing that their children are not only being cared for in a safe space but are also having fun.

Upcoming PLAYdate’s include; 

December 9th 2023 – Christmas at Persephone Manor – (Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley) – Enjoy theatre games, music and crafts inspired by the holiday season and a Victorian Christmas.

February 10th 2024 – SnowBall – (This is How We Got Here) – Theatre games, activities and crafts that are all about winter fun!

Please note that because Disney’s The Little Mermaid is family friendly, we will not be hosting a PLAYdate event with that production.

It’s been an amazingly creative summer, so far at Persephone.  Several of our program are now SOLD OUT!  (Thank You)

We still have some placements available in:

Fairy Odd Tales (11 to 14). –  July 15th – 19th – This is a chance for our older students to work with our amazing theatre professionals to update traditional fairy tales with their own wild and wacky twists.  Modern, daring and FUN!

BeYOUtiful Drag Camp (12 to 19) –  July 22nd to 26th – Space is available in this empowering program where students can explore gender expressions with our delightful diva, Puffy Von Pop N Fresh.

Improv Ability – Mission Possible –  July 22nd to 26th – Has one spot left in our 8 to 10 year old age group .. the 5 to 7 and the 11 to 14 are both SOLD OUT.

Imagine MoonBeams and Starshine – August 6th – 9th –  Has 2 spots available
Improv Ability – SpaceCapades – August 6th – 9th – Has 1 spot available

All camps run daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with dropoffs starting at 8:30 am.
