February 18th – 21st 2025! – 3rd Annual Comedy Cabaret!

Join in all the fun as part of our 3rd Annual Comedy Cabaret.  Improv, sketch comedy, silly songs and jokes are all part of this inclusive gigglefest, led by our professional theatre school faculty.

Our program runs 9 am to 4 pm, with dropoffs starting at 8:30 am.

Students should bring a lunch and snacks.

We will host our comedy cabaret in our BackStage theatre on Friday February 21st at 3:30 pm

Everyone is welcome!

April 21st to 25th 2025 – Wickedly Awesome Musical Theatre Camp

Join us as we create a fun musical theatre revue show using music from Wicked and the Wizard of Oz. Students will work with our professional to to develop acting, singing and movement skills.

Our program runs Monday to Friday 9 to 4 pm with drop off beginning at 8:30 am.

Students should bring snacks an a lunch.

The program will wrap up with a Musical Theatre Revue performance on Friday April 25th in our BackStage Theatre.

Everyone is welcome!

Cost is $275.00 for the week. –  5 day program

With the purchase of a show ticket, parents and caregivers can register their children, ages 4 and up, for a fun afternoon of free activities with Persephone’s Theatre School. Games, music and crafts inspired by the mainstage show, another event at the theatre, or seasonal activities will keep the kids entertained.

When we have enough students we split into two groups; ages 5 to 8 and ages 9 to 12, but please note Miracle on 34th Street is recommended for ages 8 and up.

Theatre school staff are theatre professionals who love working with kids. Parents and caregivers can relax knowing that their children are not only being cared for in a safe space but are also having fun!

Upcoming PLAYdate’s include

December 21st 2024 – North Pole Magic–  (Miracle on 34th Street)  – Theatre games, activities and crafts that are all about holiday fun.   Please note that for this production we encourage families to bring children 8 and up to the performance. PLAYdate for this production will be geared to ages 4 to 8.

February 15th 2025 – Fantastical Feast (18 Jews Order Chinese Food)  – Join us for a culinary inspired day of characters, theatre games and activities.

March 22nd 2025 Pizza, Poetry and Puppets – (Made in Italy) – Join us for a creative day with poetry, puppets, ooey, gooey cheesy activities and pizza inspired stories.

May 3 2025 – Making Music – (Million Dollar Quartet) – This is a fun musical afternoon, exploring stories, characters and theatre games with homemade instruments and silly songs.

Persephone Theatre School programs are a great way to give someone the gift of creativity and confidence.  We offer a variety of programs, taught by theatre professionals who believe in the benefit of arts education.

Our Discovery Kids Program is perfect for energetic 4 and 5 year olds. Students work on music, movement and storytelling skills in a high energy 8 week program.

Our Exploration level is for 6 and 7 year olds and focusses on confidence building, character creation, storytelling and more through a series of fun games and activities.

Our Engagement level is for ages 8 to 10 and builds on skills introduced in previous levels and starts to introduce simple scripts and scenes.

Our Experience level is perfect for ages 11 to 13 and continues with improv and script options adding in more of a performance element with our One Act Wonder program.

Our Empowerment level has been created for highschool aged students who want to further their skills either for fun, or with the possibility of pursing a career in theatre.  Our Young Company is an auditioned pre professional development program.  Audition information for this program is usually available in May.

Our Encore program is a program for adults because no one is ever too old to learn!

We also have line up for our PD Day programs as well as opportunities for kids to enjoy an afternoon at the Theatre School with our PLAYdate options, while parents and caregivers check out one of our mainstage productions.
