Persephone Theatre strives to provide a safe space for all.
The Director and other employees do not discriminate based on race, creed, ethnicity, sex, or religion. Students are expected to treat employees and classmates with the highest respect. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and students will be dismissed from class if behavior becomes an issue and distracts from the instruction goals of the class or student participation in class activities. Inappropriate behavior includes but is not limited to: using profane or vulgar language, roughhousing, disrespect toward the instructor, theft or damage to theatre property, and taunts or demeaning terms toward others.
As Educational Assistants are not provided, it may not always be possible to accommodate students with higher needs. It is always in the best interest of the student and the class to discuss needs before registering for a class. During the summer we provide additional opportunities for individuals ages 10-18 on the autism spectrum to participate in camps and workshops in cooperation with Remai Modern as part of the Arts Immersion at River Landing – ACE Camps.
Theatre is for everyone!
Additional funding for children and youth programs is also available through Creative Kids. Please ensure you apply early by the deadlines they provide.
