Persephone Theatre School RETURNS!

After an extended hiatus, Persephone Theatre is excited to announce the renewal and return of Theatre School!

My name is Lorna Batycki and I’m the new Education Director.

Persephone is an exciting place to be right now.  There have been several changes in recent months and lots of work being done to connect with the community and re-establish priorities so the theatre has a vibrant future. As part of this, the artistic team and myself have looked at the strong foundation previous theatre programs have established at Persephone, talked to some local families and connected with some of our educators.

The result is a series of classes, based on Stages.

Starting with Discovery programs for our preschool aged students, through our Exploration (5 to 7 years), Engagement (8 to 10 years),  Experience (11 to 13 years) and Empowerment (14 to 18) classes, Persephone Theatre School is offering quality skills based programs for kids and teens in a fun and inclusive environment.  Each level has a variety of class options depending on your child’s interest.  Programs are designed to build confidence and make creative connections, all while having fun.  (because without fun, what’s the point?)

We haven’t forgotten about our older learners.  We have included Encore adult classes in our fall and winter line up because we believe learning never stops and we want to provide opportunities for everyone to build their skills.
