School of Theatre – Temporary Closure due to COVID_19
March 19, 2020
As many of you are aware it has been decided that, to protect the health of the students, staff, and their families, the School of Theatre will be closed until at least April 20th. The impact of this closure means that all of the final presentations are now cancelled, with no plan to reschedule the performances. While this cancellation is a disappointing conclusion to our classes, it is a necessary measure to comply with the effort to lower the transmission rate of COVID-19. I speak for all of the instructors when I say we have enjoyed teaching and directing students, and look forward to seeing them when the wave of this virus has passed. We are all a little heartbroken that they will be unable to share their hard work with their family and friends this spring.
Your support for Persephone Theatre and Persephone School of Theatre will be more important than ever once business resumes. To this end I am offering you a 10% discount on a summer camp or fall or winter program for current students affected by this closure. Online registration will remain open, and the box office is also open should you wish to take us up on this offer or if you have any questions. Please note that discounts can only be applied through the box office.
Thank you for being a part of School of Theatre family, and we look for forward to seeing you again soon. Stay healthy!
